April Lockhart is a born on July 4 April, 1995. In the seventh grade she began to take guitar lessons and piano lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. April Lockhart composed her first single, Different at the age twelve years old. At 14 old, she spent an enormous amount of time making song concepts and perfecting her music. Soon, April began going across NY and LA with her Dad so that they could both write songs. April started to incorporate other relevant topics into the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with a growing following. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia in partnership, in addition to being a specialist in lifestyle. As a woman born with no left hand, the woman is a major part of herself. However, it's not the only thing she has to tell. So, Lockhart's Instagram account does not shy away from her handicap, however it doesn't center around it neither. What message is it sending? It's this That we all carry numerous identities. We're much way more diverse than we think we're. Lockhart said via video that she doesn't wish to be defined solely by her physical disability. She doesn't wish to become a disability advocate who only talks about that. There are a lot of aspects to Lockhart. My everyday life isn't affected by it. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to problems. The same is true for my life, and I think that it is something to be talked about. Lockhart has been a great inspiration to her fellow women in the area of acceptance of oneself. Even so, Lockhart admits having moments when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance and wearing clothing which displayed her arms. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wishes and shares pictures on her Facebook page with pride. Self-love for her was a long journey. It's true for all regardless of level of insecurity. It is essential to surround yourself with people who can really see the person you are.
