The baby was born on 29 March 1985 at Roswell near New Mexico. Her birth name was Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican child of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, was birthed in Mexico. She is Mexican roots, yet is American by nationality. Since she was a child she's been extremely keen on playing sports. Gerina was a golfer in her first game at the age of 15. Gerina completed her high school education at Goddard High School. As a high school student, Gerina took home her first prize at the New Mexico golf state tournament. She was a volleyball player and also competed in state competitions. 2003, she began her studies in the University of Texas. She won all of the events she took part in throughout her final years. In her undergraduate seasons, she won the Conference USA's player of the year as well as UTEP Female Athletic of Year.
